People are already counting the contenders for 2013's game of the year, but you might want to wait before you place your bet. Watch_Dogs isn't out yet.

Imagine a world where you can control virtually everything.

If you live in the city, that is. Watch Dogs is a hacker/parkour hybrid stealth game by Ubisoft, and it looks awesome. You can control everything that is run via a computer, and in an urban setting that presents some opportunities.

The plot of Watch Dogs is based around information warfare and the worlds rising use of technology. The game is set in Chicago, Illinois, which is one of the few cities to feature a super computer code-named CtOS (Central Operating System). As the name suggests, this computer controls every piece of technology in the city and holds information on every city resident. It is something that the talented anti-hero you play in Watch Dogs, Aiden Pearce, can exploit.

Seven years after Infamous 2, in which Cole MacGrath activated the Ray Field Inhibitor to destroy a conduit (super humans) named John White, also known as the Beast, we pick with inFAMOUS: Second Son. The explosion from the RFI was thought to have killed all conduits across the globe, but it seems that some have survived. Fearing the power of the conduits, the Department of Unified Protection is formed, and major cities across the United States are hunt for conduit activity, whom the DUP have labeled as bio-terrorists. inFAMOUS: Second Son is set in Seattle, Washington, and players control Delsin Rowe, a 24 year-old graffiti artist with no real direction in life. One day, Delsin witnesses a bus crash, and attempts to help; in the process, he comes in contact with a conduit, and his own dormant conduit abilities are awakened. While at first his power only appears to be able to control smoke, Sucker Punch has stated in interviews that Delsin's ability is actually to absorb the abilities of other conduits. With his new abilities, Delsin will dedicate himself to fighting back against the oppressive DUP.

Unreal Engine 4 Coming To Mobile

The worlds most advanced gaming engine, the Unreal Engine 4, will be bringing its power to the mobile. The technology was shown at the SIGGRAPH tech conference. The engine was displayed running on NVIDIA's next-gen mobile GPU. The mobile GPU uses architecture that is used in PCs today.

Epic's CEO stated that the demo ran on OpenGL 4.3, a feature which "brings to mobile devices the same high-end graphics hardware capabilities exposed via DirectX 11 on PC games and on next-generation consoles."

In other words, today's PC and console gaming standards will soon be that of mobile gaming.

If you're not familiar with the Unreal Engine 4, here are a couple of cool demos release awhile back to get you excited.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Review

injustic gods among us

"From the creators of Mortal Kombat ..."

Injustice: Gods Among Us offers an epic super hero take on the fighting genre of video games. This game's close to the dream of comic superheroes sharing the same world and fighting all the villains at once.

If you've ever played a recent Mortal Kombat game, skip the tutorial for this game. Because it's the same. Which is to be expected, since NetherRealm made them both. But if you already own a fighting game and have no interest in story mode, then you'll just be paying sixty dollars for some D.C. Universe skins, and maybe a graphics upgrade.

Maybe "skins" is a little too harsh. While basics attacks and combos are the usual, unique abilities for each character (Superman's is a temporary stat boost, Batman's ability summons a swarm of robotic bats, (SPOILER) Green Arrow shoots an arrow, ect.) are cool. Also unique is each character's ultimate attack, usable once a player's super meter is charged. But beware, draining you super meter is dangerous, as you can "clash" with your opponent, and must wager a higher portion of your super meter to win.

The story mode is more of a movie than a game, but it's well done and cinematic. I won't give away plot details, but it's the typical chapter scene with a change of character after each chapter is complete.

Overall, this game is good, but it's only as good as the other Mortal Kombat games, and unless I'm mistaken, the point of making a new game is to best the previous one by a substantial margin.

If you're torn between this game and Mortal Kombat, they combine them both in Mortal Kombat vs. D.C. Universe. And that game has to be only twenty dollars by now.

EA To Discontinue It's Online Pass For Games

If you've ever borrowed a game or bought one used recently, you may have ran into the problem of realizing the online functioning of the game requires a pass code that came with the game; one the previous owner probably cashed in.

But rejoice, for EA, the first and most prominent to use this tactic, has decide to do away with it's schemes. The reason? Customers don't like it. And pleasing the customer should always come first.

"Initially launched as an effort to package a full menu of online content and services, many players didn't respond to the format. We've listened to the feedback and decided to do away with it moving forward."

"We're discontinuing Online Pass; None of our new EA titles will include that feature."

While some are basking in the light of this miracle, others remain suspicious there's a nasty catch to come.

But rest assured: Your copy of Battlefield 4 with be online pass free.
